Kevin Walsh, Member at Large

Mr. Walsh is an entrepreneur who is known for his expertise in electrical repairs and property maintenance.  Having lived in Dutchess County all his life, he has become an invaluable resource to TWILA and to the Town of Pine Plains for his extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna, geology and ecology of Twin Island Lake, and its important place as the headwater of the Wappingers Creek Watershed.

In addition to his service as a member of the TWILA board, Mr. Walsh has generously volunteered his time by serving as a member of the Pine Plains Conservation Advisory Council since 2016.  In 2018, he was appointed by the Town of Pine Plains to serve as its representative on the Wappingers Creek Watershed Council.

Mr. Walsh is avid blue grass enthusiast, who plays a wicked fiddle, teaches violin, and has long-enjoyed a regional reputation for restoring antique and well-loved violins.  He is a volunteer staff of the Oldtone Music Festival.

He has lived on Twin Island Lake since 1997 with his wife, Vivian, and enjoys camping, kayaking, fishing and mushroom hunting.

He served in the United States Navy from 1978 to 1982 with a ranking of E-4 Missile Fire Control Technician upon his honorable discharge.
